      contains recipies, remedies for illness, diary 'Sent $480 out to Kansas to pay for 80 acres of land. March 1880...remainded in Kansas 1 and one half years, (thus probably went in1878) took sick August 28th, with dysentary and went to Doc. (likely brother Egerton) October 4th., (1800) and stayed until the 13th. (1800) Doc sent me home Oct. 13 (1800) and arrived in Napanee Oct. 16,1880. Doc (brother Egerton) came home (Napanee) Aug 9, 1881 and returned (to Kansas) August 30. Railroad fare $39.
      Remainded sick for one year. Wilbur sold my land (in Kansas) March 1883. He came home to Napanee April 20th., 1883 and was married May 1, 1883.
