    • Albert A. Switzer Died Early This Morning

Albert Alexander Switzer well known Ottawa contractor and prominent in the Orange order circles in the Ottawa district, died early this morning at his residence, 115 Belmont Avenue. Mr. Switzer, who was 51 years of age had been in ill health for the past six weeks, but his death came unexpectantly, and will be heard of with regret by a wide circle of friends in Ottawa, Osgoode, and Edwards, Ontario.

Born in Osgoode, he was a son of the late Christopher Switzer and Mrs. Switzer of Russell. He farmed near Osgoode till about 15 years ago, when he came to Ottawa and entered the general contracting business with his brother W.W. Switzer. They dissolved the partnership seven years ago and the late Mr. Switzer had carried on his own business.

Prominent in Orange order circles, Mr. Switzer was a member of L.O.L. No. 2297 of Edwards, Royal Black Preceptory No. 227, Ottawa, and L.O.Y.B. No. 260 Metcalfe. He held office on several occasions in all lodges. He was a member of Southminister United Chuch.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife the former Ida Waddell of Osgoode, his mother Mrs. C. Switzer of Russell, one son Gordon of Ottawa: one sister Mrs. Daniel Wilson of Edwards, Ontario and three brothers William W. Switzer of Ottawa, O.H. Switzer of Edwards and T.C. Switzer of Russell.

The funeral will be held on Sunday at one o'clock from the home to Southminister United Church and to Springhill Cemetery
